Buyer Terms and Conditions

To ensure that sellers are treated with respect and feel confident about Bridal Stories as a safe website, the buyer contract sets out the behavior we expect from all buyers.

When using our website as a buyer, you are required to agree and act in accordance with the terms below that describe the expectations about this behavior.

Definitions

Buyer

Website user who looking to buy an item online via the Bridal Stories website or in-person at the showroom in Lisbon.

Seller

Website user who is looking to sell an item online via the Bridal Stories website or in-person at the showroom in Lisbon.

Bridal Stories Team

Bridal Stories' team is responsible for content management and reviewing classified ads, however, it is not responsible for nor guarantees the condition of the described items. If you are unsure about a purchase, you can use our help with the service "Personal Shopper“.

Individuals' classified ads

These are ads from individual people using the Bridal Stories platform to advertise their item. The items contained in these ads are in possession of the seller and can be purchased directly from the seller through the built-in chat on the website. These ads have been reviewed and categorized by the Bridal Stories team in accordance to our terms and conditions for online sales, but the item itself has not been verified in person, so we cannot guarantee any details of the description and condition of the items described.

Certified Bridal Stories Ads (catalog)

These are ads from the Bridal Stories team, which uses the Bridal Stories platform to advertise a verified item. The items in these ads are available in-person at the showroom and can be purchased physically at our showroom in Lisbon. This item was reviewed by the Bridal Stories team and categorized according to our conditions for online and in-person sales, it was checked in person and categorized after quality control.

Safety

Bridal Stories monitors conversations to ensure they comply with our Terms and Conditions and blocks any users or conversations that do not comply with the rules. Bridal Stories is not responsible for these transactions, the condition of the items or the accuracy of the item descriptions, however, all listings are curated and previewed by the Bridal Stories team. You can report users if you detect any unusual behavior.

If you want to verify the item, you can get our additional certification service “Personal Shopper" from Bridal Stories, by directly contacting us.

Bridal Stories is not responsible for any content of the individuals' ads.

The seller is the only responsible for the detail and accuracy of the description and condition of the items, including any disputes between buyers and sellers.

We advise buyers to check the items in person in order to check and try on the item. However, this decision is entirely up to the seller. Contact the seller, ask about this possibility and when it is available.

We do not promote or advise users to rent items.

There is no that the item will be returned in the same condition. Signs of makeup, tanning lotion, perfume, deodorant, use and wear are impossible to predict and often impossible to repair or clean. These are just some of the things that can happen to such a valuable item.

Communication

Communication between buyers and sellers is a fundamental part of the buying or selling experience at Bridal Stories and we want to keep it as safe as possible.

The Bridal Stories team monitors messages sent between members to detect fraud, abuse, spam and other violations of our platform policy. If you make contact through channels other than Bridal Stories chat, we will not be able to help if problems arise in the future.

Mandatory:

– Send all messages via Bridal Stories chat;

– Treat the seller with respect and professionalism;

– Answer messages effectively and in a timely manner;

– Tell the seller if you are no longer interested in the item.

Not Allowed:

– Send messages outside the scope of the sale, promoting other services or products from companies, non-profit organizations, even if related to the sale;

– Exchange data such as e-mail adresses, phone numbers or other information, other than for the purpose of a face-to-face meeting;

– Send many messages in a row in a short period of time (it will be considered spam);

– Propose less than 50% of the indicated price;

– Ask a seller to rent the items;

– Ask a seller to donate the items;

– Use offensive language;

– Give consignment options on products.

Payment of your online purchase

Bridal Stories as a global platform does not (yet) have an integrated payment method on its website to allow payment for the item directly to the seller. The payment method must be agreed between buyer and seller.

Bridal Stories is not responsible for any of the payment methods if problems arise.

However, Bridal Stories recommends that:

– Negotiation happens in person and payment is made in a single transaction;

– The sale is made in person or, alternatively, if it is done remotely, payment is made on delivery or other means that allow it.

There are remote payment methods such as PayPal, bank transfer and MBWay. Bridal Stories is not responsible for any of the payment methods if problems arise.

Total payment of the item may include:

– the purchase price of the item;

– a shipping fee to ship for your location;

– a payment method transaction fee.

Mandatory:

– Paying the item and shipping in one transaction only;

– Verifying all data from your seller when buying online;

– We advise you to pay in cash when purchasing in-person. This avoids problems such as delays, fees and disputes;

– Businesses done in person are final.

Not Allowed:

– Pay booking fees, installments or partial payments;

– Ask to rend, lend or donate a dress;

– Change your mind after payment has been made.

Shipping

You contacted a seller, talked about various issues, chose your item and now you want to pay the seller for shipping.

Bridal Stories is not responsible for any of the shipping methods if problems arise.

Disputes and returns

The Bridal Stories platform is a global website that aims to promote local sales by promoting face-to-face business. Although Bridal Stories promotes and takes all necessary steps to maintain user safety, it cannot guarantee the purchase of your dress online. If you are unsure about a purchase, we can help you with the service "Personal Shopper“.

Mandatory:

– Understand that Bridal Stories is not responsible for selling individuals' items online;

– Inspecionar o artigo logo após a chegada, no prazo máximo de 2 dias;

– Contact the seller if any problems arise, as soon as the item arrives;

– If you are unable to resolve the problems with the seller, please make a report via our website and report what happened to Bridal Stories;

– In-person purchases are considered final.

Not allowed:

– Contact the seller with problems after 2 days of the item arriving;

– Negotiate the return of an item because you changed your mind. Trying to resell;

– Ask for a refund;

– Ask for a refund of an item purchased in-person;

– Hold Bridal Stories responsible for the final result of the dispute.
